About me
I spent 27 years of my professional career as a systems engineer working on B-52 flight simulators. The first 6 years I was an officer in the USAF and the remainder of the time I worked for a contractor. God had different plans for me, so I quit that profession in Oct 2012 and started working on my teaching certification through LSUS. I was offered the Algebra I teaching position at Evangel in Oct 2012.
About the course
This year the state of Louisiana implemented the Louisiana Student State Standards (LSSS) which we will be following. They are rigorous and will require students to take responsibility for their learning by reviewing concepts learned in earlier grades since there will not be time to re-teach those concepts. Take advantage of tutoring and Internet resources!
